She has been modelled in the Art Deco style and is called the ‘Footsteps Dancer,’ she almost certainly dates to the late 1920’s. The figure embodies Art Deco aesthetic known for its sleek lines, geometric forms depicting figures in dynamic poses. ‘Footsteps’ has been made in patinated bronze and ivory coloured bakelite, posed as a dancer suggesting movement and grace, she stands on a green agate base. The dancer sadly is missing one of her feet and a thumb on her up-stretched hand.
