Characterful Set of 8 Victorian Leather Upholstered Oak Dining Chairs c.1880, A.F.

This set of six dining chairs is completed with two carvers. The chairs have oak frames and bodies with some great carved detail. They retain the original brown leather upholstered that has age related wear. The leather has been stuffed with natural horse hair fibers as can be seen on one chair that has a small rip. The leather is held by large brass tacks. This set would work in grand dining rooms or country settings.
