Item Details
This is a rare vintage folding metal chair known as 'Golden Shread', produced around 1950. The chair features a metal frame with a distinctive design characteristic of mid-20th century utility furniture. It is equipped with a folding mechanism, allowing for easy storage and portability. The chair has been hand-painted close to the time of manufacture. It features charming copy of an advert for 'Golden Shread' marmalade, a British favourite since 1874. On the reverse of the backrest is an artists signature (think), but it is faded and indistinct. There is a pleasing look to the chair due to age related patina and wear. It is in good order throughout.
