Item Details
A stunning late 19th-century table from Burma, crafted from richly grained exotic wood. This highly decorative hand carved piece is a fine example of Burmese artistry.
The circular top features a beautifully grained central panel, framed by an intricate openwork border carved with exotic creatures and trailing flora. The deep fretwork apron features densely carved foliage. The central column is turned and then carved with a woven design. The base terminates in three stylized tiger feet, full of character and separated by three carved birds nestled between them.
There are some minor loses to the apron and a stable crack.
