Wonderful Antique Late Victorian Mahogany Acanthus Carved Desk / Console or Hall / Side Table

This wonderful piece of furniture has been crafted in richly grained mahogany. It would work well as a desk, side or hall table, console or even as a sofa table. The table is supported on four column legs that end on the stretchers where there are carved ornamental brackets. The stretcher also has some carved ornamentation. It has a carved draped apron below the drawer. The drawer and the sides are skilfully carved with acanthus leaves, the drawer handle is hidden beneath the carved detail. The top is a little sun bleached.
